SIA CCTV Course Whitechapel
To qualify for a Public Space Surveillance licence (SIA CCTV Course Whitechapel), you must complete a structured training course and pass the required exam. The SIA mandates a minimum of 27 hours of classroom training for this qualification, and failure to meet this requirement may render your certificate invalid. This 3-day course concludes with an exam and is held weekly at our Whitechapel location.
Course Content
Unit 1: Working within the Private Security Industry
Gain an understanding of the core characteristics of the Private Security Industry, focusing on legislation related to licencable activities. This unit also includes training on safe working practices, fire safety, and emergency procedures. Additionally, participants will develop essential communication and customer service skills.
Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator
Explore the roles and responsibilities of CCTV operators, including operational procedures, codes of practice, and relevant legislation. Learn the importance of effective communication and emergency response within CCTV control rooms, while also gaining insight into the technical aspects of CCTV systems and health and safety requirements.
Unit 3: Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment
Develop hands-on experience in operating CCTV systems. This unit is designed to ensure you can handle equipment safely and efficiently in real-world situations.
